LEGAL & TRANSPARENCY

Privacy Policy

How i-GarageQ Inc. handles personal information when you visit this corporate website or contact our team.

Last updated:

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

i-GarageQ Inc. is based in Ontario, Canada. This policy covers our corporate website and enquiries sent to our team. Our approach is guided by applicable Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), where it applies.

The automotive platform described on this website is under development. This website does not currently provide customer accounts, payment processing, vehicle-data uploads or a live AI advisory service. Future platform services will have privacy notices appropriate to their actual data practices before personal information is collected. This policy does not govern independently operated third-party websites.

2. Information collected today

If you email us, we receive your email address, name if provided, message, attachments and any organization or contact details you choose to share. Please provide only what is needed for your enquiry and avoid sending sensitive personal information, passwords, payment details or another person’s vehicle or customer records.

Our hosting infrastructure may process technical request information such as IP address, requested pages, timestamps, browser or device information, referring page and error or security events. Such information can identify a person in some circumstances. It is used to deliver the website, investigate problems and help protect it from misuse.

Choosing a Contact topic changes the email subject locally in your browser. Clicking an email link opens your email application; selecting a topic or opening a draft does not itself send an enquiry to us. Our website receives your message only if you send it.

3. Purposes, consent and your choices

We use enquiry information to respond to you, discuss requested business opportunities, maintain related correspondence and meet applicable legal obligations. Technical information supports website delivery, troubleshooting and security. We limit collection, use and disclosure to reasonable purposes and obtain consent where required by law.

Sending us an enquiry allows us to use the information reasonably needed to address it; it does not automatically enrol you in marketing. Visiting this website is not consent to future advertising or tracking. Where we need consent for a new purpose, we will explain that purpose and request consent before proceeding, unless the law permits otherwise.

You may decline to provide optional information or ask to withdraw consent by contacting us. We will explain any consequences and legal or contractual restrictions. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing already lawfully performed.

4. Cookies and future analytics or advertising

We have not currently enabled Google Analytics, advertising pixels, behavioural advertising or marketing cookies on this website. The current site does not use a CRM integration or email-subscription service. Browser caching and technical server processing may still occur as part of normal website delivery.

We may introduce analytics to understand site usage, advertising tools to measure campaigns, a CRM to manage enquiries, or an email-subscription service. These are planned possibilities, not current practices or permission to begin tracking. Before activation, we will update this policy with the actual providers, information collected, purposes, retention arrangements and relevant processing locations.

Where required, we will provide clear choices and obtain consent before non-essential cookies, tracking or related processing begins. Refusing optional tracking will not prevent access to basic website content. We will explain how to change or withdraw your choices. You can also manage cookies in your browser, although blocking necessary technologies can affect functionality.

5. Future newsletters and commercial messages

If we introduce newsletters or other commercial electronic messages, we will obtain the consent required by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), or rely on a legally available exception. Where required, messages will identify the sender, provide contact details and include a working unsubscribe mechanism. We will implement unsubscribe requests within the applicable legal deadline, generally no later than 10 business days.

A privacy notice or an ordinary website visit does not create marketing consent. Administrative replies to an enquiry are separate from an optional marketing subscription.

6. Service providers, disclosures and processing locations

Our website is hosted using Amazon Web Services (AWS) Lightsail. Hosting, email and technical-support providers may process information necessary to provide their services. We remain responsible for personal information under our control and require appropriate confidentiality and protection when using processors.

Information may be stored or processed outside your province or Canada, including in the United States, depending on hosting and email arrangements. It may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement agencies or other authorities under the laws of those jurisdictions. Contact us for information about our processing arrangements.

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information with your consent, as permitted or required by law, to address lawful requests, or to protect legal rights and website security. If a business transaction requires disclosure, we will follow applicable privacy requirements, including safeguards and notices where required.

7. Retention and safeguards

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the identified purpose, applicable legal requirements and legitimate recordkeeping or dispute-resolution needs. The appropriate period depends on the type of information, the status of an enquiry and legal obligations. Information no longer needed should be securely deleted or anonymized; backups may remain until their normal expiry.

We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of information and the risks of processing, including limiting access to authorized people and service providers. No online system or ordinary email is completely secure. If a breach occurs, we will assess it and provide notifications, reports and records as required by applicable law.

8. Access, correction and privacy concerns

Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access and information about its use or disclosure, and request correction of inaccurate information. You may also request deletion or withdrawal of consent, subject to lawful retention needs; deletion is not an unconditional right in every circumstance.

Send requests to info@igaragesq.com with the subject ‘Privacy request’. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity, without collecting unnecessary identity documents. We will respond within applicable time limits. Where PIPEDA applies, access requests normally receive a response within 30 days; permitted extensions will be explained. If a request cannot be fulfilled, we will explain the reason and available recourse, subject to legal restrictions.

You may raise concerns with us or contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca, or another regulator with jurisdiction. You do not have to give up statutory rights to use this website.

9. External websites and children

LinkedIn links take you to an independent service governed by its own privacy practices. We do not embed a LinkedIn tracking widget in this website. Your email application and provider also handle information under their own terms and privacy policies.

This corporate website is intended for business and general informational use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly solicit children’s personal information. If you believe a child has provided information to us without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can address it.

10. Changes and contact

We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the date shown above. Significant changes will receive additional notice or renewed consent where required. Future services and data uses are not authorized merely by being mentioned in this policy.
